CATS
Cats usually live in homes with humans. There are over 50 million domestic cats in the world. There are also many feral cats in the world. Feral means animals in the wild.
Behaviour
Cats have flexible bodies and teeth adapted for hunting small animals such as mice and rats. older cats can also have excellent hearing and a powerful sense of smell. On average, cats live around 12 to 15 years. If you take a piece of string and wave it at your kitten it should pounce at it. It would chase it and it would bite it. This behaviour trains it for hunting.
Appearance
Cats have 4 legs, a face, a bushy tail, pointy ears and fluffy fur. Did you know that cats have lots of bones in there tail? Some cats are very hard to groom because they have long, thick fur like persians cats. Most cats do not like to be bathed and will scratch and bite. Some other cats aren't hard to groom as they have shorter hair and a placid temperament.
Diet
Did you know that cows milk is bad for your cats? For me at my house cat food costs $11 for a week. Your cat can eat cooked fish, carrots, cheese, bananas, watermelon, egg and seeds. Usually they eat tinned or dry cat food.
There are many types or species of cats from domestic to the large cats of the jungle. It is important if you are a cat owner to have your cat neutered so that we don´t have lots of unwanted kittens.
